Took the truck in on Monday afternoon and they found the transfer fuel pump was bad -- ugh! as I know that usually takes out the injector pump too which costs thousands. I gave them the go-ahead expecting that, after ordering parts and the long holiday, the truck would be done early in the week after Thanksgiving. But at 8:30PM Wednesday night, the night before Thanksgiving I get a call saying the truck is done! They busted their butt replacing the pump with an in-tank pump and getting the truck going again so I could get back home! I got lucky and didn't need the injector pump but By The Book Diesel worked late for me over the holiday and I was able to get home and didn't miss a day of work. Much appreciated! - David M.
