So, we bought a used truck. We knew there were some modifications, but weren’t quite sure how modified it was until stuff started breaking. The dealer stopped the diagnostic when they found an engine tuner. So here we came. It took a while for the truck to reproduce the problem (of course). Once it did, we were kept aware of the progress, costs, etc. I know it ended up being a lot of work for them, and they had to call in some other experts, wipe and reinstall the computer programming etc. The truck runs great, and we felt that this place is a very honest, upfront company.
